I’ve seen people say how the events of v6 chapters 3-5 have made volumes 1-3 really sad regarding Oz, and I want to talk about one scene in particular.

Look how they smile at him.

Professor Ozpin was somebody these girls looked up to, the headmaster of the combat school they chose to go to.

He was once a man who had the power to bend the rules for them and did so more than once.

Now he is someone who is powerless against their cruel words, powerless to even face them now. It just makes the above scene sad, to see what he was willing to do for them. At least Ruby still respects him enough to call him “Professor”.
